New Hope Group reaches out to local business

New Hope Group has reaffirmed its long-term commitment to the local workforce by reaching out to local business owners earlier this week at two Local Industry Procurement Information Sessions in Oakey and Toowoomba.
The sessions drew in substantial crowds of local business owners keen to learn about the New Acland Coal Mine Stage 3 Project and how best to maximise the success of their potential involvement.
General Manager Projects Gerry Randell said New Hope was dedicated to supporting local businesses and engaging with them about how the procurement process will unfold and what work packages will be on offer.
“New Hope is committed to maximising the involvement of local businesses and the Procurement Sessions were a great step in ensuring people have all the facts and tools to give their business the best shot at a successful tender,” he said.
“New Hope is teaming up with the Department of State Development in November to continue this engagement with two Tender Readiness Workshops that will take businesses further into how to prepare for working on the mine, what work packages are most appropriate for them and how to submit their completed tenders,” he said.
The information session and the upcoming workshops are supported by industry representative groups Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise, the Toowoomba and Oakey Chambers of Commerce and Industry Capability Network.
