Land rehabilitation and economic benefits in the spotlight

1 August 2013

The New Hope Group begins an information campaign on the Darling Downs this week focusing on land rehabilitation and the employment, economic and social benefits of its New Acland Mine and Acland Pastoral Company.

The first part of the program looks at the continual land rehabilitation work being done at New Acland.

The program was produced by Toowoomba-based Evolution Studios and features employees of New Acland mine and the Acland Pastoral Company explaining how the land is rehabilitated after mining.

“We are really pleased with this information program as it gives us the opportunity to help people across the Darling Downs learn a bit more about the New Hope Group, our New Acland Mine and our Acland Pastoral Company operations,” New Acland Executive General Manager Jim Randell said.

“In keeping with our company-wide policy to support local businesses, we have used local businesses to pull together this information program.

“It will give local people some interesting facts about our operations including land rehabilitation and the significant flow-on benefits that our operations bring to our local communities.”
