New Hope helps Oakey Soccer Club beef up security
14 June 2012
Security at the Oakey Soccer Club will be bolstered with a new high tech security system thanks to the generosity of the New Hope Group.
New Hope has allocated $3,600 to the club, which will be spent on security cameras to help protect its equipment and supplies and keep the club’s insurance premiums down.
“This donation from New Hope will help us secure the club and safeguard the facilities we need each week for our members and visitors,” club president Paul Langton said.
“It will also help in the ongoing development of our club here in Oakey.
“We have about 100 members in seniors and juniors, and this donation will help us to continue to give Oakey residents a chance to play sport locally rather than having to travel to Toowoomba all the time.
“The Oakey Soccer Club prides itself on encouraging everyone to have a go and have some fun.
“It’s not about winning at our club - it’s about having fun, mateship and being part of the community.”
New Hope’s New Acland General Manager Jim Randell said the company was very happy to be able to invest in worthy local community groups.
“The Oakey Soccer Club is just one of the important local community groups that New Hope is proud to support. As part of the community our employees and their families participate in many of the groups we support” Jim said.
“We are very glad to be able to do our bit to help local groups like the Oakey Soccer Club so they can continue to play their vital role in the local community.”
